This comfort food recipe could not be easier, because Good Grocer has done all the prep work for you – our tomato passata is packed full of concentrated tomato flavour, and our meatballs are seasoned and ready to cook. You can pan fry the meatballs first, if you prefer, but I recommend this super tasty all-in-one method for speed and ease.
1 bottle Good Grocer tomato passata
8-10 Good Grocer meatballs
60gm NZ parmesan cheese, crumbled or grated
1 tbsp fresh oregano or thyme leaves (or use basil in the summertime), coarsely chopped
1. Preheat oven to 220°C. Arrange the meatballs in a deep-sided, large baking dish leaving a little space between each one.
2. Pour over the tomato passata sauce to evenly cover meatballs and fill the dish. Scatter with parmesan.
3. Place in the oven to bake, uncovered, for 25 - 30 minutes or until meatballs are just cooked through. Garnish with herbs and serve immediately with Kale Spaghettoni on the side.
